Roche project for multi-site feasibility of modular fill-finish facilities for cytotoxic products

When Roche was planning facilities for cytotoxic products at different Roche sites in the USA, Europe, and Asia it asked KeyPlants to perform a feasibility study, including a comparative cost analysis for sites in Singapore and Shanghai.
 

We proposed a hybrid project with one modular part and one conventional part. This included about 40% modular, off-site fabrication, with rest to be conventional construction. The two facilities are designed to total about 5,900 sqm, with a 960-sqm processing area for the fill & finish area and about 3,700 sqm for the antibody drug conjugate processing area.
 

Challenges included performing code analysis and investigating design and permitting considerations for Singapore and Shanghai, along with adapting execution for the two identified sites.
